Decentraland will Host a four-day Fashion Extravaganza with Well-known Designers and high-end Fashion Houses
The blockchain-based metaverse Decentraland will conduct a fashion week featuring an “all-star roster of digital catwalks” at the end of March. Decentraland announced on Thursday that the Metaverse Fashion Week will feature digital wearables, virtual runway displays, and afterparties in the virtual world. Many well-known brands in the worldwide fashion business will be featured during Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week.
Vogue Arabia, Elie Saab, Guo Pei, Etro, Jacob & Co, Dolce & Gabbana, Selfridges, Tommy Hilfiger, Fewocious, Dundas, Cavalli, Paco Rabanne, Hogan, Franck Muller, Garrett Leight, Cavalli, and The Fabricant will all make appearances during the four-day fashion extravaganza, according to Decentraland. Participants in the fashion week will be able to gather at Decentraland’s newest district, the “Luxury Fashion District.” According to the Decentraland team, UNXD and Vogue Arabia will present the four-day event.
In a statement given to Bitcoin.com News, Sam Hamilton, the Decentraland Foundation’s creative director, said, “Fashion and haute couture are not new to the metaverse.” “Since the advent of avatar wearables in 2020, Decentraland has been on the bleeding edge of unique and in-demand digital fashion. Since then, designers have pushed the technical and artistic boundaries of Decentraland wearables, resulting in a thriving industry with over $1 million in avatar wearables sold last year.”
Selfridges, a London department store, will open a metaverse store to kick off the fashion event. During the opening of the Selfridges store, Paco Rabanne and Victor Vasarely will offer an “immersive experience.” Dolce & Gabbana, Dundas, Etro, and other designers will walk down a futuristic runway at the event’s center.
According to the statement, there will be a wide range of metaverse fashion experiences, as well as special “Decentraland Wearable drops” from Tribute Brand. In addition, Meta-Tokyo will have a pop-up museum with photographs by Amiaya, a model and DJ.
